Wow this picture puts me right back in the yard. This is what I remember when I thnk of them, I mowed this yard and weeded this garden. To the right was the screened in porch, where we played (because we all ran down the hallways too much) my mom would be in the kitchen with Auntie Matty making Gumbo and Ambrosia (my favorite) and we kids would be sneaking "King" their stBernard dog, in to play with him and my dog Topper, that I'd bring with me when I stayed over. My mom Idola (Auntie Doh Doh) and Auntie Matty had incredible gardens back then, as well as flower gardens. We both had cherry trees, peach trees, mulberrys, cabbage, corn, onions, carrots, apple trees and rhubarb and strawberrys.
